April 21st was the all family dinner (with a few additions) to say farewell to Keiran before his journey to the UK, and to celebrate Yvonne's birthday (a few days early), and also Natalie's (a few more days early!). The dinner was held at Illawong; though it seemed a bit unfair for Yvonne to cook and prepare (with assistance from others) her own birthday treat.
Little Miss Lily has an unusual crawl - bum up! Why this style is anyone's guess, but she gets around quite well.
And Lily is quite able to haul herself up and remain standing - as long as there is a support to lean on, such as this table!
Like her big brother Cooper, Lily is the human vacuum cleaner when it comes to eating. Maybe it's all that fresh sea air or something.
First photographic group was Yvonne and Peter with their grandchildren, from left: Flynn Crofts, Cooper Wallace, Lily Wallace, Tynan Wallace and Jake Crofts.
Well, the angle is better, but the subjects are not. Well, specifically Lily is not a happy camper in this photo! Very young children are a bit like animals - quick snaps or the moment has gone!
Tynan, Jake and Cooper - the two bigger boys acting up for the camera. Cooper, being pretty smart, will likely catch on soon, though his height doesn't help too much in this department.
Jake has lost one front tooth, and is about to loose the other! Those baby teeth have done their job - now it's time for the real ones to come out.
Ah, the final goal of the evening - an "all of family" photo. After a number of delays. Back row, from left: Keiran, Glenn, Lindsay, Cameron and Natalie. Front: Kelly with Lily, Peter with Cooper, Yvonne with Flynn and Tynan and Michelle with Jake. Michelle was not at all well, as shows in this photo. And I just noticed how the back row is well organised, without any conscious effort: the height declines from left to right!
After this it was time to eat, which had a plethora of dishes and fine conversation. But no cake! Then a little later Gilbert, Carmina (from Los Angeles) and Ellie (Gilbert's dad) arrived.
And last, but by no means least, Bev and Di were on hand too - Bev took the family photo, and a large collection of her own. And Di added to the collection with hers.
All in all, a sad (Keiran's departure) but enjoyable evening.
