The finger marks the spot. And it's much closer than the one in lower left of the photo - the "tail" is on the label for the sheet.
Flynn seems to want to place the tail on a cloud. Well, I guess it would be less painful for the donkey.

And after all that, he's not too far off - well, at least it is on the donkey, although I confess to never having seen a donkey with its tail on an ear.
