Fathers Day

Sunday, September 7th was Father's Day, and a family celebration was arranged at Burnum Burnum Sanctuary on the banks of the Woronora River. Apart from nature trails and boat launching facilities, there is a large picnic area, which was our destination.

Fathers Day at Burnum Burnum Reserve: Kelly feeding Lily

Miss Lily was hungry, so feeding time was upon us.

Ah, all fed, time for sleeping. A growing baby needs a lot of rest!

Fathers Day at Burnum Burnum Reserve: Lily Wallace all dressed up and sound asleep

And those cute shoes.

Fathers Day at Burnum Burnum Reserve: Family gathering

The family gathers - the Crofts and the Harrises. From left is Cameron, attending to cooking duties, Peter talking to Boyd, Keiran (green shirt), Kelly with Lily, Yvonne and Jake on the far right. Not easily visible are the remainder of the Crofts - Stewart, (the other) Kelly, (the other) Michelle and their children, and Rick and Lorraine. The bridge in the background is the high level bridge over the Woronora River.

Michelle pointing out Lily's little bracelet, which I think Yvonne gave her.

Fathers Day at Burnum Burnum Reserve: Boyd's son Dylan strutting his stuff

Ah, young'uns and their energy, strength and zeal! Boyd's son Dylan practising to ride a unicycle! Not! And something for Jake to try too.

By now the food was cooked, and it was time to eat, drink and be merry - not necessarily in that order. It was a very enjoyable day. I think it rained later in the afternoon, but it's now several months after, and there have been a number of "rain events" since, especially the last couple of weeks.
