Lily Eve Wallace

Baby Lily Eve Wallace vital statistics

At 8:52PM on July 11th, 2008, little Lily Eve Wallace came into the world. And at 3PM on July 12th, I went record the event for posterity.

Kelly and Baby Lily, just 18 hours old

Baby Lily Eve Wallace in her mother's arms. What a change she has gone through in the last 24 hours - comfortably warm and settled into her mummy, then with some effort, out into the cold world! And how much awaits her!

Lily is rather bruised and scratched from her birth. At one stage, her heartbeat became erratic, and the doctors decided to speed things up by using forceps. She does have a couple of quite good bruises (not visible in any of these photos), which will, of course, disappear with time.

Mother and daughter. And what a change that is to our family - with four boys, and now a little girl. Although she was 20 per cent heavier than her brother Cooper at birth, and the same length.

And Nat was there too, here holding Lily who was "sort of" smiling.

And just before I left, more visitors. From left, that's Kelly, Michelle with Lily, Vanya and Natalie.

The view out the window, which was overlooking the Princes Highway. That's the CBD and the inner eastern suburbs.
