Flynn's third birthday was on January 19th, and so there was a party at his home. Mostly family, but Dasher (a neighbour) with Ellie and Riley came too.
Michelle suggested that I buy the "Aqua Trax" for Flynn. I had it wrapped up, but as soon as Flynn saw us, he wanted to carry the present. But it was a bit bulky for him. But at least it showed that Flynn is beginning to understand birthdays are for presents!
Flynn still needs to learn some things about birthdays, though. Here he is surrounded with unopened presents, which Jake is quite happy to open, while Flynn plays with the bucket he has already opened. I think the gift that Jake is opening came from Rick and Lorraine, Cameron's dad and mum.
Flynn busily engaged with spade and bucket - note especially his left hand is clamped firmly on the bucket!
A very happy Flynn playing with his new bucket and spade on the beach in the Woronora River, immediately in front of his home. The tide was very low for the party, and all the youngsters had fun playing along the water's edge.
Hmm, the technique leaves a bit to be desired - but he'll learn. Probably by later in the afternoon if the other children start playing with it.
Flynn "fixing" the wall. Some of the sandstone blocks are eroding and no doubt following something he has seen Cameron doing, Flynn is trying to fix it. Or at least have fun while putting sand into the wall.
A happy Flynn, while Keira, a very friendly dog who enjoys the attention of children (young and old!), comes back along the beach.
