Dinner then ensued - a cold meal, suitable for this time of year - and then it was outdoors again.

Of course, nearing dusk, the cockatoos arrive, to fly, swoop and deafen anybody within earshot. Did I ever mention how noisy they are?

While all the time pretending to be doing something else. These are tricky and dangerous birds!

They are also pretty birds. The cockatoos love this particular piece of roof on the lower townhouse; as they are often poking their beak into the guttering, I suspect their might be water in there, or at least leaves or something of interest to them.

The flock is beginning to arrive.

And the flock departs! This was a long enough exposure to capture some of the wing movements as the take off signal arrived.
