After lunch, it was time to distribute and open the presents. As is obvious, this is not even controlled chaos, just plain chaos!
The chaos continues; Jake is bringing my present from The Wallaces. It wasn't heavy, just a little awkward to handle, especially as it's almost as big as Jake! The light on the floor was one of the presents for Tynan or Jake; it appears to be a battery operated lamp which looks like a propane lantern.
Another view of chaos.
But now it was time to return outdoors for the rest of the afternoon - leaving the chaos of gift giving to be cleaned up as we are about to head home. Cooper seems very interested in something about this umbrella - an engineer in the making?
It seems that very large sunglasses are all the rage this year. As Cameron and Glenn model.
Fun around the pool. Keiran is holding one of those flotation gizmoes. Just as well he was holding it at that height; a bit lower and it might have looked like boasting.
Louise created this ginger bread house, at a class to learn how to create a ginger bread house! It is quite imaginative, although the stop sign (the orange object at the bottom, just to the right of the red "bushes") would not stay up. And the inside was full of goodies for the youngsters (i.e. Tynan, Jake and Flynn).
The object was for the boys to break it open. Jake has just hit the roof with his hand, and is hurting from the pain. That roof is very strong.
And now Tynan feels the pain! So Louise is off for more appropriate tools than the human hand.
Tynan ready to wreak vengance on the ginger bread house. And this detailed view shows a chip flying away; it's not that Tynan is growing a white beard!
Some time later, the house is a wreck, and the contents have been mostly consumed! Well done Louise, for creating such a sturdy building, and packing it with goodies.
Yvonne with Cooper, who is exercising his vocal chords, or more precisely his lips and tongue with the well known "raspberry song".
Some time later we packed up, trying as best as we could to remember which bits belonged to whom. Then it was home for a good rest, and certainly no more food. We were full, thanks to the Currey's excellent hospitality.
