Tynan's birthday is actually on December 15th, but since that was a Friday, and school was still in, the party was held over until Saturday the 16th.
The original venue was Shelly Beach Park, but the weather turned wet, making an Hawaiian themed, outdoor party seem like a less than ideal solution. So, at short notice, somebody (sorry, I don't remember who, probably Deacea) arranged to use the Cronulla Junior Rugby League clubhouse. Indoors seemed like a good idea, especially looking at the sky. Although as it turned out, there was no rain, which is easy to say with hindsight. And the clubhouse turned out to be a really good venue.
The first party game was Pass The Parcel in which a parcel is passed around until the music (note maestro Tynan being the music man) stops, at which time the person holding the parcel wins whatever is in the parcel.
We have a winner, and maestro Tynan has come down from the stand to see what he won.
Hmmm, Cooper seems very interested in Cecelie's finger. There's quite a difference between his little fingers and Cecelie's adult sized ones.
Cooper started crawling this week, but this was not one of his efforts. Right position, but not enough motivation!
Oh, what are you doing?
The good old Tug of War
Looks like this side lost The boy in blue has one foot across the line, and since he started on the team nearest the camera, it would appear they lost.
And a rematch seems to have fewer people, although perhaps they were more spread out to reduce interference.
