On Saturday, September 3rd, I was invited to dinner at the McKinley Estate in Bothell. The cause, apart from having an enjoyable meal, was to meet a pair of visiting Aussies, headed soon to the wilds of Alaska. Well, as wild as a cruise to Alaska gets!
The two visitors were Adrian and Dinah. Adrian is a friend of Judy's whom I met many, many years ago. I wouldn't have been able to put a year on it, but Adrian remembers we went to see "Jurassic Park", so I guess it was a long time ago.
Not yet to the dinner table, this was just the warming up table! From left to right around the table: Chrissy, Simon, Dinah, Adrian, Judy and Bill.
While the rest of us exercised our vocal chords inside, chef Bill was outdoors slaving away over a hot barbecue! But he seems to enjoy it, if the results are any indication!
Hmm, looks like chicken's on the menu.
Caution - chef at work.
Bill borrowed my camera (at my insistence, of course!) to snap this photo of the dinners, eager to start eating. From left, Dinah, Chrissy, Simon, Lindsay, Adrian and Judy.
Spot the differences between this and the above photo. Correct - a better view of the ceiling! And, of course, Judy in the above has turned into Bill - an amazingly rapid change.
Hurry up with the food! Bill serving Adrian, with Judy, Dinah, Chrissy and Simon looking on with that hungry look.
After dinner, Bill presented this gift to Chrissy. I have no idea why, but then I was neither receiving nor giving. But Chrissy seemed to like it.
