Australia has some very beautiful birds, and over recent years they have become established in urban areas, or at least those close to large patches of bush. I suspect it's also been helped along by people planting native shrubs and trees, and no doubt the long drought leads them to the relatively more abundant water supplies in urban areas. As Illawong is surrounded by bush, the birds are abundant, and make regular stops in the bushes.
