Going to bed it was wet and windy. Getting up, it was calm and white. Ah, pretty... And nice when I didn't have to battle the traffic to get to work.
The view from the front door, with the cottonwoods still with many leaves adding a nice touch of colour.
The magnolia tree in the front yard. The snow was somewhat sticky, and makes the trees look quite pretty.
The heavy snow was a bit too much for these bushes, which are normally a spherical shape. The brown bits are the interior parts, not normally visible, but the snow has "folded" the outer cover away.
This tree also suffered from sticky, wet snow. When I came out the door, this branch was bent over to the ground. I've since tied it up with string. The bush in the above photo is visible "below" the branch.
The cypress tree in the corner of the yard with snow decorations.
Larger view of the yard. The water on the edge of the cement was frozen over at this time.
Snow on virburnum leaves.
