Customs House Plaza, looking south into what used to be the end of Alvarado Street (delineated by the flag poles), but which is now a pedestrain precinct.
Looking in the opposite direction to the above photo. In the left of the picture are some bocci lanes - an Italian game, a variant of bowling, played on dirt. I've probably misspelled the name.
The Customs House area has a cactus garden - very appropriate in this dry area.
A cactus bloom.
Another view of the plaza, showing the Double Tree Hotel to the right, and the History Museum on the left. The Marriott is the tall building in the middle.
