This map shows the lower end of the Saanich Peninsula, covering most of Victoria. I was staying near the ferry docks, so follow the dotted lines to see where that is. I rode, and Mark and Donna also drove me, along the southern coast, which is very pretty.
On the group tour, we stopped in Oak Bay, which is near where Donna's house is located. We even had a drink in a delightful pub, although they were out of draught Guiness at the time, so we decided not to stay for dinner :-(
On my ride, I continued along the coast, and discovered a few more scenic places along the way, and a bicycle route through narrow streets. I was, after all, on a powered bicycle :-). My wanerdings (GPS assisted) eventually led me to the Johnson Street Bridge, and then across to Victoria West. Unfortunately the weather was not especially cooperative, and the few nice vantage points I found were not offering much of a view, other than fog/haze!
