Getting There

On June 3rd I rode to Victoria, BC to meet Mark and Donna, who had spent several weeks in Canadia. The most convenient, and perhaps quickest, is the ferry from Port Angeles to Victoria. This involves also travelling on the Edmonds/Kingston ferry.

To Kingston

Washington State Ferries load motorcycles first (or last if you happen to arrive just before departure). Basically this allows the bikes to be placed in locations not usable for cars. And it also means we get off the boat first - and so don't have to pass all those vehicles :-)

This photo was taken while the ferry was loading at Edmonds; the wake is actually caused by the boat pushing into the dock while loading. Olympic Mountains are visible across the water and the other ferry near/at the Kingston dock).

Mt. Baker is also visible from the ferry dock at Edmonds. (The dark patch at the top of the picture is my finger print on the lens).
