On Saturday I joined the slow group (for some definition of slow) and rode to Enterprise, Oregon. The main attractions of this road are the Spiral Highway, The Asotin Grade and Rattlesnake Grade. Just wonderful motorcycle roads! This is a ride basically straight south from Pullman.
Where we were and when we were there - the top of the Spiral Highway.
Looking south from the top of the Spiral Highway, showing parts of the road.
The Clearwater River comes in from the left, to join the Snake River which flows from the top off to the right to join the Columbia River near Kennewick, WA. The Snake River defines the Washington/Idaho border, Washington to the right in this image.
As an historical note, the Lewis and Clark expedition travelled down the Clearwater and into the Snake River and thence to the Columbia and the Pacific Ocean. The two cities here (one each side of the Snake River) are Lewiston (left, Idaho) and Clarkston (right, WA).

There aren't many photos from this ride, as we were riding, not snapping photos. I repeated the route on Sunday, on my own, to snap the photos in later pages.
