Believe me, in the middle of this picture, taken only a mile or so from La Conner, there is a yellow field. Most likely daffodils, I suspect, given the complete absence of anything that even vaguely looks like tulips ready to blossom. The yellow patch is slightly more obvious in the larger image.
The larger view, showing the still snowy caps of the Cascades.
This is a view about mid way between Stanwood and Silvana, looking roughly south east towards the Cascade Mountains. I don't know the names of the peaks.
Closer to Silvana, and the fields are a bright green, after all the rain we've been receiving.
This one is just north of Silvana, only a few hundred yards from the edge of town. Unfortunately the light was not the most appropriate, but there are large holes in the roof and sides. Typically it will be left to collapse upon itself.
In the larger context. It wasn't clear whether the barn in the background is also decaying, or if it is just open.
