It's Snowing

January 26th

While January 26th is Australia Day, Seattle's weather is very unlike that in any part of Australia. And this year, it started to snow in the afternoon.

Australia Day in Kenmore, and it's starting to snow (front view)

Looking out the front door, as the snow is starting to accumulate. There are even visible flakes in the image (at least the larger one).

I put the camera on the tripod looking out my bedroom window, and the following sequence of photos is the result. And it was late in the afternoon.

It's snowing lightly in this photo. It's especially obvious when comparing this and the following image, particularly with the trees in the back.

The snow has stopped, and thus the image is much sharper.

It's Dark

Snow continues accumulating during the night too (bright spots are water drops on the window)

Much the same amount of snow as in the afternoon.

It's snowing again - the haze around the street light gives it away. The bright spots are actually water drops on the window, not snow flakes.

Much the same view, but the snow has passed.
