Snow Garden

Snow can be very destructive in the garden, as the weight can snap branches. Fortunately no damage for me, but some pretty sights.

Dogwood tree, with snow rather than leaves.

The Korean Dogwood, with snow instead of leaves.

Eleagnus, covered and bent under the snow

The view out the dining room window - the Eleagnus bushes are flexible, and could not support the snow, so they were flattened.

The Eleagnus bushes from outside. Looks even worse. But they recovered quite well.

The side of my house, with the Deal's fotinia under snow.

Late Afternoon

Eleagnus slowly coming out of the snow

By 4 PM, the Eleagnus were recovering nicely, as the snow was melting pretty quickly - a nice feature of most snow falls here in Seattle!
