The very next day, the sun was out, and it was relatively warm. I don't recall if we had any rain overnight, which would have sped up the melting.
Looking out the dining room window, the plants and shrubs are all free of snow, but not the grass, or even bark in the garden. This was taken in the morning.
The view along the back fence. It actually took about a week for last of the snow on the garden to melt, just in time for the next storm to come in!
Later in the day, the sun was shining, speeding up the melting all the more. And YES, the grass is still green (well, as green as it is at present).
