Marie and I spent the day with the Gillinghams who live in Suquamish on the western side of Puget Sound. Suquamish is located on the western side of Puget Sound. Our visit last year was in wonderful sunshine; this year, it was overcast with rain at times, at least early in the day; later it cleared up, although never became sunny.
Bill and Pat have this cute wind instrument. There are two arms, each with a sailing boat on each end; the arms rotate freely, and do so when there is some wind. It's quite relaxing to watch.
We arrived around 9:30AM, and this was the view from the back deck, looking to the NE; it's low tide, and there is plenty of beach showing. The boat belongs to our hosts.
The view looking to the SE; the other side of the channel is Bainbridge Island NW corner.
Looking NE again, this time at high tide.
Looking across Agate Passage to Bainbridge Island at high tide. The beach has gone!
The view across the water to Bainbridge. This is quite a nice looking house, with its own totem pole.
