Our final Vancouver day was just round and about and then off to the airport for a late afternoon flight to Calgary and connecting to Lethbridge.
The view from Dorothy's apartment, looking towards Mt. Seymour.
Somewhere in Vancouver BC, looking towards the CBD. Caption on the slide
indicates it's looking north, which is consistent with the sun's location.
The caption for this says looking east, but the sun says west, as what sun there
is comes in from the left.
Some random street in a nice part of town. The caption on the slide says
these largish houses would sell for $cn250k (1978 dollars). Wow!
Vancover is below. The dark area about the middle is Stanley Park, with Burrard Inlet
above it, and beyond that North Vancouver. The River coming in from just below
the wing is the Fraser River. It rises in the mountains east of Vancouver, which
extend into Washington state as the Cascades.
Crossing the mountains east of Vancouver.
A bit more snow on these mountains. This flight crosses two mountain ranges,
the coastal range and then the Canadian Rockies before descending to Calgary.
At Calgary Airport, waiting for the Time Air flight to Lethbdridge.
