Our hosts of the last few nights put us on the train to downtown Toronto, where we had a room in the Royal York Hotel, one of Canadian Pacific Railroad's chain of hotels stretching west to Vancouver Island, and at least to Quebec City in the east.
Buildings with reflective glass walls were still many years away
from Sydney, so this bank building was quite a novelty.
Another novelty is seeing a squirrel. This one was looking for nuts
outside the Catholic cathedral.

Eatons (department store) Shopping Arcade.
This profile of the
CN Tower
shows the height of various facilities.
I am guessing we were in the Sky Pod's Indoor Observation Deck at 342m.
Bottom middle is Grand Central Station, and the Royal York Hotel
is across the street to the left. From the last photo here, it
appears our room was on the side facing the camera here.
North Toronto from the CN Tower.
Toronto Harbour, which not surprisingly is on Lake Ontario! The
"rocket" appearing in the top right is not a secret Canadian space project.
It's a reflection of the CN Tower profile seen above.

Grand Central Station.
The view from our hotel room. The CN Tower's lower portion visible
on the left, and peak hour traffic heading out of the city too.
