Loftus Activities

Two men in garage assembling a wooden frame

Dad (left) and Peter preparing the "floor" or base of the new cubby house in the garage at Loftus. From memory, the end frames were built by somebody at work (Waite and Bull). The cubby house was quite popular and used for quite a while, but was left behind when moving out of Loftus.

"Tibby" ignoring the work going on below (in the garage), but still keeping a wary eye on the photographer.

New houses on distant hill side

Houses across the valley at the bottom of Viburnum Road. This is part of Engadine, but nearing the northern end of the ridge.

Little boy and girl at gate - in identical dresses

Michelle and Matthew Macgonigal. Michelle would have been 4; Matthew perhaps a little younger.

Two men preparing ground for wooden frame assembly

Time to prepare the ground for the placement of the cubby house. Dad, with his level, on the left; Peter doing the levelling. The base of the cubby house to the left, the end frames leaning against the back fence.

Close up head shot of black and white cat

"Tibby" in close up.

Close up of guinea pig in cage

Either Kelly or Michelle's guinea pig, in its cage. This was right next to the cubby house construction site, but it appears the guinea pigs were not upset by this.
