Note that this roll of (negative) film has some defects, likely due to age. Not much can be done about it. The timing of these photos is not clear. I have them tagged as August, but it's not obvious that is correct. Clearly winter, so it may be earlier. The film was a negative, so it does not include the date.
Michelle and Kelly at The Grotto in the grounds of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Earlwood
Peter with Michelle and Kelly at Girrahween Park. Note the poor/incorrect colours on the left hand side. And the glorious toilet block in the background.
Michelle does not look happy in this picture, though her older sister Kelly, ever the daring one, seems quite comfortable. And somebpdy (NOT us) was preparing to cook a meal. The willow trees in the background (now gone) indicate Wolli Creek.
Peter with his 2 daughters "in the bush". Probably headed back to the car.
One could hardly call them lost in the bush. Since it's not really bushy. And, in any event, well inside an urban area.
The view from the Matthews Building at UNSW. The one on the lower right, still under construction, is the Law/Library Building. Little did I know that in 4 years I would be working on the top floor there! To the left is the Civil Engineering Building; the tall brown brick building is Warrane College, with New College being the lower rise one to its right. The nearby suburb is Kingsford, and beyond that is Mascot Airport, with a little of Botany Bay off to the left.
The family photo of the time. Back row, from left: Peter, Yvonne, Mum (Clarice/Bub) and Dad (Ron). Front row: Michelle (eyes shut) and Kelly with doll. Taken in the front room at Bardwell Park.
Yvonne and Peter with Kelly and Michelle. Same location as above, of course.
