The former H.M.A.S. Sydney, which was the second of two aircraft carriers belonging to the Navy. It had been converted into a troop carrier, but by this time, its service was finished. The vessel had been stripped and was about to be towed to a wrecking yard.
General shipping activity on the harbour, as well as the former aircraft carrier.
The northern end of the Opera House. This is an area used for special functions, but is mostly open to the public with food service.
The view from near Mrs. Macquarie's Chair in the Sydney Domain, looking south over Woolloomooloo Bay towards the buildings on William Street. The building on the left was probably the Sebel Town House at Kings Cross.
