The front garden at 42 Darley Road. Home for many years. The lawn looks quite good - obviously just mowed. And the garden bed is not quite flowering. I would guess the plants were marigolds.
This view from the back room looking roughly west, but blurred due to the heavy rain.
The Measurements Lab had a prototype colour TV from EMI. This was used for learning, but also, as shown here, subject to some environmental testing. It is sitting in a temporary use heat enclosure. We had a heat bath, but it was too small to accept the TV. SO, a bit of ingenuity, and likely assistance from the workshop, and this is what you get.
Computer Science on the roof. The left three of the four were Computer Science Honours. Phil Cohen, the one on the right, was a lab technician in Computer Science. Lindsay (left) also a lab technician, but Jeff Tobias and Jenny Green were "just" Honours students. This was taken on the roof of the Electrical Engineering building, with colleges nearby and Randwick Race Course in the background. And Sydney CBD in the distance.
The same group as above, but indoors, in the Computer Science Honours room.
The deflection yoke from an EMI 22 inch colour TV, of the type in the photo above. This was from our TV, and is sitting on the lounge which was the only lounge I can remember being in the front room. Mum and Dad got their money's worth with that purchase.
