Day 15 - Lunch and City

Lunch was held just a few blocks from the aqueduct, so we explored the area a little.

Roman fort and building with satellite TV dish!

Ancient city walls and satellite dish.

A Segovia street leading away from the viaduct

With traffic no longer allowed under the aqueduct, this street has become a pedestrian only area. It's Avenida de Fernandez Ladreda and leads almost directly to our hotel.

Lunch

The restaurant chosen for lunch was just a couple of blocks from the aqueduct and plaza.

The busy lunch time crowd in Segovia restaurant

Group N constitutes most of the people in this (blurry) photo, but not all of them. One of the waiters bore an uncanny resemblance to Mr. Bean - although without the consequences, fortunately.

Happy diners in Seqovia: (cw) Yvonne, Peter, Terry, Jo-Anne, Mark & Elisabeth

A friendly little table - Yvonne, Peter, Tery, Jo-Anne, Mark and Elisabeth.

Suckling pig being carved

Suckling pig is a speciality of this region of Spain. There's not much pig left at this stage.

A happy Yvonne with success in Spanish shopping

Ah, the happy shopper returns!
